Right, hitting irons like a tour pro. I’m not just hitting this back for fun; this is a fantastic aid and a help to -- even get you to think about how you hit the golf ball more like a tour pro, how to get the most out of your irons that you’re hitting. To get that penetrating ball flight, one of the shots that you hit in the path through and your playing partners go…“You’ve never hit one like that before”. And you can tell on the go there’s going to be plenty more where that’s come from. So how to hit an golf iron like a tour pro? What we need to look to do in, is getting our hands in front of the ball more at impact. So, as we come into this bag, for example, you can see how the handle is reaching the line of the bag before the club head is.

So, the shaft angle is effectively leaning forward. This slightly de-lofts the golf club, but also helps you hit down on the golf ball a bit more to get that maximum penetration and a maximum power straight after club phase. So as I'm quining to hit this, my handle of the club is coming into the bag first, and then my club is hitting it. So I'm hitting handle first, club second. If I’d hit that on the golf ball, and just practiced that -- just do it slowly, I'm looking at handle first, club second. So my hands are in front of the ball, that’s going to help me hit down, that’s going to help me hit the ball after, it's going to create more power, more consistency and you are also just going to see the ball flight change.

The reason why it's so different to how an old player would play or more amateur should play, is in the sense you’re getting the club to hit the ball first and the handle to stay back too much. So going back into that bag where the ball would come in, you would almost club first, handle after, and you just loose all your power, you hit the ball potentially way too high and you start to get your maximum distance. So, let's give that a go. I’m going to get my hands in front of the ball impact that shot up like an absolute bullet, it really has. That’s going to help you hit much better golf shots and try it next time you play.
