Hi I'm Tom Stickney and today I want to talk to you about the mental game they were talking about your problem club. Now it might be a driver or a 6 iron a wedge or whatever it is everybody has something club that gets them into trouble the good Lord didn't give anyone a full bag. So we're going to pretend today that mine is my 6 iron. so what can I do mentally to set me up so I have the best chance of performing. Well the 1st thing you do when a good practice facility is make sure you have perfect lies and even perch that ball up to make sure that you have some confidence on that problem club.

I know that if I continue to come out here and hit bad shots with my problem club and practice is probably not going to shoot very successful on the golf course but if I give myself every ability to hit better shots on practice facility I'm probably going to carry that over to the golf course. It is very important that when you have a problem club you address it you don't shy away from it. I didn't say it was always going to be your strength I said you need to continue to work on it so it can get a little bit better. So give yourself better lies the 2nd thing you can do is slow down you know if I come in here and I'm moving really quick the probability of me hitting good shots are pretty slim. A lot of time exactly it's a little quick so slow down you have a little bit better chance of hitting some better shots. So remember when you have that problem club give yourself a chance to hit it correctly in the practice facility and then slow down on the golf course and I think you are going to be ok.
