Tom Stickney – A Top 100 Golf Teacher
Hi I'm Tom Stickney and today I want to talk to you about your posture. A lot of times when we get settled into a position the lie of the club should be correct but sometimes people buy clubs a little quite fit so sometimes the lie angle might be here might be there. A good rule of thumb is for the bottom club to come a point more at the beltline right here and that would help us to see the close reason we et up correctly. Now once you're set up correctly you should be able to have a balance from toe to heel as well as balance from side to side.
So we should kind of look like so now what's going to happen is if you set up and you drop that play line too low you're going to rock your weight onto your toes. When you rock your weight on your toes all of a sudden now we're going to have to throw the club from the top to rock back so we have more balance. So a lot of times people who have poor posture issues which cause over the top transition and faulty impact alignments fat thin golf shots. So remember set the butt of the club to your belt line so you can have your balance and from here make sure the weight is centered on the laces of your shoes not to far towards the toes or the heels. You do that you will have a better posture and you will have better success.
