Tom Stickney – A Top 100 Golf Teacher
Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today I want to talk to you about how to regain your feel or how to work on your feel on the putting green. Well we know we can hit putts back and forth along the green that's fine and dandy but how do you really fine tune your feel? Well what I like to do and I like to find a putt all this putt that I'm hitting here that's a little off frame is probably about 20 feet and it has a huge break so this putts going to really dive on me so it's a really it's a feel quite of the speed putt.
So what I'm going to do is I'm going to hit a lot of putts and really try to feel what I need to do to get that ought to hit the apex of its break and just trickle down of the hole. So big huge break it left or right right to left putt you know very speed oriented breaking putts will be a great way to fine tune your feel. So take the time get those super big huge break and super fast putts and you'll be able to fine tune your feel after that's retained the general feel of the greens by hitting those putts back and forth but those big break in what's really going to take you from this level of feel at that level feel so you won't free putt ever again.
