Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today I want to talk to you about struggles with 3 wood. A lot of times people don't get their 3 wood up in the air or they struggle a little bit because they have trouble getting this lower lofted club off the ground. Remember we can do things with your equipment now that we weren't able to do years ago or weren't as educated about years ago. If you're having trouble with it 3 wood mine is 13 degrees you might want to try 15 degrees 3 wood.

OK What happens if you can't get the 15 degree 3 wood no worries go get a 4 wood or a 5 wood add a little bit extra length to golf shaft and now you've got a 4 or 5 would this playing like the 3 and a half wood. Yes it's going to be a little bit longer but it's going to go straighter because you have a little more loft So remember you the woods that work for you if you're much there playing with a 4 or 5 wood can get you 3 wood take one of those add a little bit actual length on the club shaft and you're going to hit it a whole lot better than you do struggle with the 3 wood day in and day out give it a whirl.
