In this week's tip I want to talk to you about the magic yardage. When you lay up on a par 5 or you get in trouble on a par 4 you need to put yourself in a position where you're comfortable and I call that my magic yardage. So what is your magic large basically it's the feeling in a shot that you can reproduce time and time again and it's anywhere from a 100 yards maybe to 30 or 40 yards. It really depends on whom you are for me I'm pretty good at they had about 80, 82 yards so I know that when I have my magic yardage and 80 or 82 yards. I know what I need to do and what feel I need to make to make the ball go that distance pretty consistently.

So whenever I have a lay up or I have a punch out I try to leave it into that 80 or 80, 82 yard range. So for me with my magic yardage I'm sitting right here got my pin right there I know what my magic yardage feel is now I can make a good comfortable motion of the pin and I know that more often than not that ball is going to go the distance that I want. It's going to be in a tighter dispersion because I'm not in between clubs and I feel more confident and when you feel more confident your wedges you're going to be able to hit him closer. So remember find your magic yardage where you can reproduce that shot over and over again, and I promise you if you lay up on par 5 or punch out in par fours right spot you're going to be much better off putting for birdies and pars.
