Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and as we continue on with wedges we want to talk about our flight of the golf ball. A lot of times people with wedges hit them straight up in the air and they try to hoist them as high in the air as they can. OK While other players we see will come in here and the put it back fight it down to look for more of a penetrating type of ball play.

Well what you have to understand is the more of a punch driving type of shot that you hit when you flight it down lower it doesn't turn the curve off line quite as much. When you hit up in the air you could have a little bit more spin and the wind could kind of yank on it a little bit it tends to get away from you. So remember you're most accurate wedge players always tend to flight it down just a little bit and when you flight it down just a bit those punch shots to go a lot straighter than you just tossing them way up in the air.
