Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today were going to talk about ball control a lot of people ask me what are some of the phase or some things that I need to understand in order to control my golf ball. Well in no particular order you must have path control how the club moves through the impact zone whether the in to out or out to in down the line. You must have a club face and head control how this club face and club head move through impact is it open is it closed is it opening is it closing and things like that because if you can't control that you can't control your golf ball.

You must have low point control where the club impacts the ground if you don't have a low point control you're never going to hit the ball solid so we want to make sure we have reasonable low point control. Now as we continue on to some of the other facets we want to have some sort of distance control when we hit the golf ball we want to make sure it goes a certain distance. If you can't control the distance when you hit the golf ball you're never going to be a complete player and one of the final pieces of the ball control is trajectory control how high how low are you going to flight this golf ball. So all of a sudden now you've got a couple different facets that help you control the ball you've got to path control clubface control low point control distance control and trajectory control remember those are the 5 keys to controlling your golf you can't control those 5 keys you're going to have a lot of trouble.
