In this week's tip I want to talk to you about the super high bunker shot. You know a lot of times on our golf courses we have high lips deep bunkers and so your normal bunker shot won't get you out of the bunker quite as well as we'd like. So the 1st thing we want to do is make sure you have your highest lofted wedge. Here I have my 60 degree wedge which is the most lofted I carry and that's all I can do. We're going to set up to it just like we do normally open blade body to the left we're going to put the ball a little bit more for our stance a little bit more towards our forward foot. The 2nd thing I'm going to do is I'm going to lean my spine back a little bit that helps me to add loft to the club. Yes it tends to move the low point around but it's a necessity if we want to get this ball up higher in the air. The 3rd thing I'm going to do is let the hands kind of release let the club kind of duck under and when the club ducks under it's going to be like I'm balancing a champagne glass on the face all the way through. So here we go balls a little bit more forward spine is a little back and we're going to balance that champagne glass on the way through, and we could see that ball jumped up out of the bunker had no problem going over the lip and landed quite soft. So remember if you had that super high bunker shot and you need to hit that thing all those 3 things in your stance and your body and I guarantee you had a lot higher and a lot softer time after time.
