Tom Stickney – A Top 100 Golf Teacher
Hi I'm Tom Stickney and today I want to talk to you about pitching and we were talking about dstance control. You know a lot of people stand up here with a good setup and pitch and they're just not sure how to perform just they're not sure they should take about a longer club take about sure if you're faster or slower over the clubs but there's a million ways to control the distance. Let me give you an easier way to do it. I always tell people when you're pitching we want to go shorter to longer.
You of all you will always make sure that our rear shoulder is moving through the golf ball. As our rear shoulder continues to move the hands won't take over. Now where we're pitching the golf ball what I like to do is still go sure I'm over but I like to control the speed like I normally do. So what we're going to set up my ball in the center my hands here's a way forward for a normal chip shot. You know we want to do. Good we're going to give them the amount of speed we take through or shoulder when we're pitching golf ball helps us to control our distance spirit it with that speed and I promise you are going to be a better pitcher with that golf ball.
