I've got these new 3 woods there they go a long way but the bottom line is if you know what I'm solid you can't play. So as we look at this particular lay up shot that we're going to hit here how do we make sure that we have solid contact? Well a lot of times people get nervous with a 3 wood they snatch it back and they pick it up and all of a sudden they start moving all over the place.
What we want to do is make sure that you take it long and low to the ground with the 3 with the more you can keep it low to the ground the way back the easier it's going to be for you to hit the 3 wood more successfully. If you take that 3 wood up and start chopping down on it it's not going to work very effectively so in order to hit the 3 wood solid You must drag it back and dragging it back keeps a club on the ground it makes the shoulder turn you make a good complete shoulder turn and that gets you set up and poised so you can go ahead move back to the golf ball. If you pick it up you fake your shoulder turn and when you fake your shoulder turn you're not going to hit very solid.
