Tom Stickney – A Top 100 Golf Teacher
In this week's tip I want to talk to you about taking what the day gives you. Now I've had a couple shots today my normal shots a little bit left or right and I'm kind of hitting some pulls. So on a hole where I have water down the left side would it be smart for me to aim down the left side and hope I hit my fade. Well history for the day is telling me I'm getting some pulls which is going to put me right in the middle of those rocks and possibly in the ocean. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to aim just a little bit more to the right and I'm going to hit my normal shot.
If I fade it like I normally do I'm on the right side of the fairway. If I tug a little bit I'm on the left side of the fairway, but I'm in play. So remember take what the day gives you don't push a rope uphill don't bite yourself because if you stand up here and you try to let your type A. come out and you try to hit that same shot and you wonder why it's not working. Yeah you might let you might win the battle, but you're going to lose the war and that's your score take with a day gives you.
