In this week's tip I want to talk about the role of the right shoulder when it comes to pitching. All too often I see players that come in here and as they start to come to the right sort of stalls the hands flip, and the ball can go anywhere. It kind of looks like this see how my shoulder stayed back hands kind of flip sometimes you get away with it sometimes you don't. Remember the pivot of the right shoulder keeps lag pressure on the club shaft and remains so all the way through impact and when that happens the club head is the last thing to get to the golf ball which is what we want.

So once again all we want to do is keep the right shoulder moving through the golf ball and when the right shoulder keeps moving through the golf ball. All of a sudden it's going to take that extra hand action that we don't want to around the greens out of our short game, and we're going to have more solid impact alignments and going to have more consistent shots around the green time after time.
