Hi I am Golfing Magazine Top 100 instructor Tom Stickney and today in our Trackman educational series I want to talk to you about spin axis. Now spin axis basically tells us how much the ball is going to curve. Ok so if you draw a vertical line up the center of the golf ball so you got a vertical line of Marcus of the golf ball that would be a spin axis of 0.

So if you had a club path that was 0 directed out toward your target you have a face angle that was 0 directly in line with your target and you hit it dead solid in the center. You would have a face to path relationship of 0 and your spin axis would also be 0 and the ball would go dead straight. Now when the face to path relationship changes if the face to path relationship is positive meaning the path is left the face is right of the path that ball should move left to right when the ball goes left to right the spin axis should follow suit if you hit it in the center.
