Stop the Lateral Slide to the Top by Tom Stickney Tom Stickney - A Top 100 Golf Teacher Tom Stickney – A Top 100 Golf Teacher

Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today I want to talk to you about how to curtail that slide people to get on the way to the top. Whether it be your right hip right knee what have you a good drill to do is to take your right foot and turn it inward. If I turn my right foot in for just a little bit it poses an ankle or a brace in order for you to feel your body turning against.

Now here again I wouldn't advocate it for golf shots like this little partial golf shots will help you to get the feel. Here again by turning that left over the right foot rather inward you can just get that feeling of being very stable going back. So remember if you have a tendency to slide little bit at all the way to the top turn that right foot inward a little bit and that will give you a little bit better way to feel that they give you a little bit more control when you go back to your regular stance.
