Driver Control Into Wind Lesson by Tom Stickney Top 100 Teacher Tom Stickney - A Top 100 Golf Teacher Tom Stickney – A Top 100 Golf Teacher

Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today I want to talk to you about how to control your driver when as you can see about my shirt as you can probably hear there's a little wind going on. Well what happens is when you take your normal driver hit it way in the air what you're going to find if you're losing control of that ball because when it gets way up here with the everything moving around the ball starts getting pushed around. I am going to show you a simple way with the tee to help you to or straight drives when it gets windy.

If this is my normal tee height on a calm day all I'm going to do want to windy day is push it down about halfway when the drivers tee down all the sudden now it's going to come out lower and flatter. It is going to reduce your launch angle and when you reduce your launch angle also come out the flatter of the way it's not going to push this much. So experiment with your tee height on windy days sometimes you'll find it really low works maybe just a little bit higher it works but you want to be lower rather than higher. There is no magical tee height I'll guarantee you you'll experiment with your tee height when it gets windy out you are going to have a lot more fun on the tee box.
