Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today were going to talk about tempo. A lot of times and people working on their mechanics you know I see them trying to deliberately put the club into positions and their tempo becomes very jerky it and not very not very smooth if you will. Sure we want to put the club in reasonable positions but we'd like the club to swing freely through those positions.

So if you're working on mechanics and you're trying to you know get the club into a decent position remember let it flow into position so you want to swing your you want to have some swing words rapid enough where you can move it in these positions as opposed to having a tempo or you place it in position and then moves. So remember you have to have a tempo that allows you to swing the club through the positions that you're trying to find so make sure it's a little bit faster than you actually placing it and position you'll do that you'll be a lot better off.
