Lefties only golf tip: Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today were going to talk about backswing length. A lot of times as you see in the frame here people tend to get their back when just a little short and tight while I am all for control of the backstroke the one thing I want to caution you on is we all get older is whenever the backswing starts to get to short is very very difficult to sequence the downstroke effectively because when you have a backswing that is this condition here and it's short tight to the extreme you don't have a lot of time to move the lower body forward let the hands arms follow and then move the golf ball effectively. What I will what I see a lot of times the hips will start and the head fall back because you're just working so hard downstairs move through it that you just can't catch up with your pivot everything is kind of out of sync.
