Does A Shorter Golf Swing Provide More Consistency - (Video) Lesson by PGA Pros Pete Styles and Matt Fryer

In this video tip PGA golf professionals Pete Styles and Matt Fryer will help you to appreciate the benefits of a shorter golf swing. Many golfers will appreciate that the shorter the golf swing is the more control and consistency they have over the resulting golf shot. However, some golfers feel that they trade-off too much distance by swinging the club shorter. In this video we will explore the trade-off between power over consistency and how the benefits of the shorter swing might outweigh the perceived loss of power.

Now there Matt there's one part of the golf swing that there's no sort of defined position where all the best players swing too and that's going to be the length of the golf swing. Yes sometimes golfer say where is the end of my backswing well there's no real defined position you want to look on tour to see 20 30 different top of the backswing positions from all the best players in the world. I mean if I swing sort of this position you more sort of John Rahm territory yeah I'm for a left hander admittedly position but what's in there if you're Phil Mickelson definitely.

Now you can't argue that one of those swing is better or worse the other me right all along they both make a few quid don't they do indeed Yeah the cashed a few dollars last year. So we can't define necessarily that one swing is better or worse than the other but could you argue that one is more consistent for the average golfer than the other. Yeah definitely if you you know if you eluded to the one that will probably stick out as well you John Daly on here is all the way around here if the club is getting all the way around here it's travelling further.
