Chipping is not all about nice flat lies. A lot of times around the greens, we have slopes to contend with here, I've got a downslope to contend with. Now, the one of the problems with the downslope is it's very easy to hit the ground and then to compensate, you probably find that sometimes you try to avoid that by helping the ball up into to the air and then skulilng it across the green.

So let me show you how to avoid both of those outcomes so that you can get the best possible outcome from your chip. So as you can see here, the slope, if I was just to stand on it, so you can see it's quite a severe slope really considered I'm on just on the very, very edge of the green. Now, the way to approach it is how you normally would to start with. So if I wanted to play to this red flag here and I was on level ground, I would have my normal narrow stance.
