When choosing the right club to play your chip shot, it sometimes can be a little bit of a mind field. Um, as you can see here, I've not, not, not far off I've got half my bag in my hands. From nine iron through to my most lofted club. Now the keys really that you want to think about are what's the lie, like what's the distance of the shot and what is the terrain like that the ball's going to land on? I'm going to land it on an up slope, a down slope? Is it nice and flat? Is there anything to get over? There the keys that you've got to, the questions you've got to answer. Now, most people will instantly go for their most lofty club, and I would say, don't really want to be doing that.

You want to be looking at the shot from a perspective of getting the ball through the air, half the distance and being able to let it run on the ground half the distance. But I think gives you two things. One, it gives you half the shot covered straight away through the flight, but the second half of the shot reads the green for you as well. So it gives you an idea on what you're going to expect when the putter is going to come out. So if you look behind here and I've got a shot to this white flag, you can see I'm stood on an elevated platform, landing on a bit of a down slope. So I don't want too little amount of loft, but I also don't want too much loft as well, because I want to see what the ball's going to do.
