Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today I want to talk to you about reading putts and making sure your reading putts from under the hole. A lot of times when people have putts they look at it from up above the hole. OK Now I agree that you need to look at it from different angles but what you're going to find is when you look at a putt and you look under the hole you're going to get a big sensation of how uphill or how downhill how side here or what have you the putts are.

So when you have these putts make sure that you take the time to walk under the hole look back off as well as from the top and looking down. When you take those 2 views together we're going to have a very good idea of what the putt is going to do and a very good idea about what type of speed that you're going to have when the putt leaves the blade. So remember read putts from under the hole 1st look at it from above and that will give you a lot of information as to what you need to do as far as speed is concerned.
