You can see that we've missed the green to the right we see this is kind of a shaved down area this is a little collection area that we have a lot of here on the Nichlaus course. Now the problem with this particular golf shot is if you take a sand wedge wedge or a lob wedge and you try to float it under there you can chunk it and the problem with that is because this is mown down so so tight it's going to hit there it is going to roll right back to my feet I could shank it I get it in the bunker. So let me show you a little bump and run shot that's a very easy way to play this particular golf shot and it's a much safer way to play this golf shot.

Here I have a 9 iron so what I'm going to do is I'm a put the ball back towards my right toe and lean my hands in weight forward in the lower case y between the arms hands on the club shaft and all I'm going to do is go 1 2 low back low through I'm going to try to hit an area about a 3 quarter of the way up there skip once and bobble up on the green. So here we go balls back and the wait for form in the lower case y focusing in on my spot 1 2 OK and you can see that ball hit short and it scampered up there. Now the great thing about this shot is a very foolproof shot it's very easy to hit it forward and to get it somewhere on the green so if you're not real confident with your pitch shots around the green the bump and run is a great shot that you can play here on the Nicklaus golf course at Promitory.
