So after an issue with toeing the golf ball is the fact that the body is moving too far aback away from the ball which is actually pulling the golf club back away from the golf ball as well resulting in a toe shot. Now, if your overall balance isn’t particularly well settled striking the ball towards the toe and the heel is definitely going to be one of your habits or one of your faults. So we want to try and make sure that your body weight is set nicely except when you're on the right distance the way I set them. And also during the dynamic part of your swing, your body weight doesn't move around too much.

So if I get my good address position here. I'm checking on the right distance away from the ball. I made my swing to the top nice and balance and I swing down nice and balance, I should strike the ball well. But if I'm toeing the golf ball and struggling by hitting everything from the toe side, there is a chance your body weight is rocking back unto your heels a little bit too much. So if you swing back and you over rotate, your body weight comes unto your heels. You pull down from the inside to make your swing too much on your heels. You're going to toe that ball off the wrong side.

So a really great exercise to make sure that doesn't happen is to actually go the opposite way with this and just make your body weight feel like it rocks a little bit on to your tiptoes during your follow through phase. So you make your swing and come up to your tip toes and you can see on my left foot here. Both heels are up into the air. My right foot would be normally up into the air and my follow through is on normally on that tip toe. But if I'm rocking back too much of the heel as a problem, so I'm actually going to encourage you to go up to your tip toes as you hit the shot. You'll feel a lot more like your body weight is going forwards and you should have strike the ball either closer to the center or maybe slightly towards the heel of the club but definitely not to the toe.

So I make my swing and I go up to my tip toes and I stand at my tip toes to keep my balance after I've hit it and eventually I fall forwards. But it’s definitely clear that I'm not falling backwards. So if toeing the golf ball is one of your faults, consider what your body weight is doing throughout your swing. If you feel yourself leaning back have a few practice goal just for the short or mid aim, just drilling the ball five, ten times up unto the tip toes, up unto the tip toes. When you hit the ball properly I must stress you should keep your balance flat and comfortable unless you choose to drill and exercise. But it’s a drill and exercise to stop you rocking back unto your hills. Practice that and try to stop toeing the golf ball using that drill.
