Center of Gravity and Angle of Attack by Tom Stickney Tom Stickney - A Top 100 Golf Teacher Tom Stickney – A Top 100 Golf Teacher

Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today I want to talk to you about where your center of gravity is and how it affects your angle of attack. If you set up and your weight tends to lean more forward you put your centers of gravity out in front of the golf ball that moves a low point forward and it will increase your angle of attack. That just for when you want to hit the ball a little bit lower, and you can see the ball comes out of the flatter.

If you do the opposite and you lean you're seen as a gravity backwards just a little bit you tend to catch the ball just a little bit on the upswing and when you do that the ball tends to go a little bit higher. So whenever you lean your for weight forward or back which remember it increases your angle of attack if you lean forward it decreases your angle of attack if you lean backwards and because of that the ball will fly lower when your center of gravity is or more forward it will fly higher when your center of gravity is a little further back. So experiment with your spinal tilt one way or the other they control the center of gravity and you'll see a lot of different trajectory controls out on the golf course.
