Setting The Angle And Moving The Golf Swing Together (Video)
Setting The Angle And Moving The Golf Swing Together (Video)

So we’ve spoken about setting the angle during the backswing, we’ve spoken about how to isolate it during the down swing as well. What we haven’t spoken about is how to deliver it into impact and how to move the body along with that motion because that’s really the last key element that we need to look at the point of impact. So we’ve already taken a nice show in set-up, we taking a wide swing away get in that wrist nice and set, up to the top and then we’ve held this angle for as long as possible coming down.

Now what I want you to try and do and what I want you to try and feel and this is a great drill to use also with an iron which I might do in a moment. Begin into this position here where the weight is moving onto that left side, the hips are beginning to turn, and what I really want you to feel like from this point is that the upper body, the lower body, they are all turning towards the target and the arms are straight forward, it’s that motion through the actual point of impact where you go from the set leaver to a release leaver and the body works in unison and turns together is what delivers that punch of power into the shot. Show this once more…getting in that set of road nice and strong, got that big white take rate, that nice receipt, up to the top of the swing, we’ve tried to isolate all these positions and from here, we continue to turn the lower body, continue to turn the upper body and release that leave it down towards the target. If you ain’t get all these things working in together, you are going to be able to increase your club head speed. There are all the facts that surround this as first path as far as angle of attack they need to be looked at, but as a good rough guide, give those things a go, give a smack, see if you can increase your power on your drives.
