Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today I want to talk to you about how to line yourself up. Well the 1st thing I'm going to do is once I figure out which way it's going to break golf balls nowadays have a name a trademark a line you can draw a line and get to still sells it to all things or what have you. What I like to do is a lot of time at where I want to go step back audit that position so I know I'm lined up in the correct manner. Now here's the key I want to place my putter down 1st so now my putter is perpendicular to that line and the lines on the back of my putter are running parallel to where that ball's going so that sets the face angle.

Now I set my body up parallel left of my ball stripe so now when I set into it I check my feet my knees my hips my forearms and much shoulders to make sure that everything is going down the line. From there all I have to do is make a nice easy stroke trying to roll that stripe end over end if I do so then usually what's going to have is I will make a pretty decent putt. The line is relative to the speed so really make sure when you line up your stripe you come back and you audit where that stripe is going because if you don't and you set up around that stripe you might have missed it already before you even started. So take the time line up the stripe and remember you must have all your flow lines going parallel to where you're trying to go if you don't it's going to be really tough take the time line up your stripe and make sure your body your flow lines go where you want.
