In this video tip PGA golf professionals Pete Styles and Matt Fryer will show you how important finding the sweet spot on your driver is in order to launch your long drive for maximum distance. Hitting the golf ball from the sweet spot of the club is definitely the most efficient way of turning your swing speed into ball speed and therefore increasing golf ball distance. This sweet strike accompanied by a sweeping upwards motion with your driver, which is different to the downward striking motion of hitting an iron shot, should help you hit longer drives.
