Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today I want to talk to you about your grip and how it correlates to your clubface. You know a lot of times we start to talk about having a flat left wrist at the top but one thing people tend to forget is that that's heavily correlated to your grip. If I have a super strong grip where I see a lot of knuckles in my left hand, and I take it to the top if I don't maintain a cup in that left wrist that I establish at address in clubface is going to be shut. So if I have a flat left wrist with a stronger grip at address if it goes to a cup conditioned to a flat condition you can see the club basically get a sunburn is going to be shut. So if you like Freddie and you have that stronger grip remember you must maintain that little cup at the top and you can see when there's a little cup at the top the clubface is at 45 degrees which tells me it's square.

However if you have a very neutral grip regularly see one or 2 knuckles and I take it to the top that's when you want to see a flat left wrist because that flat wrist condition will create a square. So remember your clubface needs to be square at the top which is a 45 degree condition right here it doesn't want to get a sunburn you know so he doesn't want to be open either so if your grip is super strong or it's neutral you need to monitor your left wrist because the position of your left wrist whether it's square at the top open at the top cup the top over the top or what have you will have to have with the club and the club face. So remember stronger grips need a cup your left wrist to be square or neutral grips need a flat left wrist at the top to be square take the time use a mirror and you'll see what I mean.
