Fix your golf over swing - (Video) lesson by PGA pros Pete Styles and Matt Fryer

The golf overswing is a fundamental fault for many golfers. Often caused by not having an awareness or understanding of where the golf swing currently is and where it should stop during the backswing phase. During this video Pete and Matt will help you to eliminate your golfing over swing and encourage you to produce a more solid and consistent backswing length.

There's a lot of fixed positions in a golf swing. We have a setup position that's fixed. We have an end position that's fixed, but for a lot of golfers, one part of their swing that isn't fixed, Matt is the top of their backswing. Yes, the top of the back swing as we see the club come up. Some golfers are short some golfers are long, some golf was a really long and it's the having the, the not fit positions at the top of the backswing.

That some golfers find produces a degree of inconsistency, a degree of bad shots that slipped into their game and sometimes it's a different swing at the start of the round, a different swing at the end of the round, a different swing on a Saturday and a different swing and a Sunday. A lot of differences there. Yes. The, how can a golfer who is struggling with consistency and making different swings produce a gold swing that's consistent at the top and particularly if they've got an over swing, how can they fix that overswing? Yeah, I think it's still understanding, you know, why we're over swinging. A lot of people think, well, if I get the swing is physically long as I can, I'm going to generate the most power on this golf ball, and in most cases, that isn't going to work for you because you're going to lose a lot of control. And actually a lot of consistency
