To chip effectively you want to put the ball in line with your right toe all your weight is anchored forward and then you want to shove your hands forward the formal lower case Y between my hands arms in the club shaft like so. Now all I'm going to do is I'm a lock my weight in I'm going to lock my right wrist in and I'm going to maintain that Y so fall in line with the right toe hands in weight or forward make the lower case Y and use your putting stroke. Now notice when I started the Y look like so when I finished the why I look like so.

If you fall backwards or you break down the Y the ball is going to jump up in the air too much and you're not going to get the same consistent roll. So when you're chipping get set up get that Y intact and maintain that Y all the way back in all the way through and that will give you a very consistent role in the golf ball. Now the last thing on this particular Y that we want to make sure we do is we want to make sure that we don't put any more effort into it we want to use our putting stroke so when you're chipping if you have to use any more effort in this you have the wrong club change clubs and we'll cover that later tip so that is the Y chipping style explained.
