Tom Stickney – A Top 100 Golf Teacher
Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today I want to talk to you about the role of the right arm and the role of the left arm keeping this club shaft opening your body effectively. What you're going to find is if you keep the right arm very rigid you have a lot of extension but the club has to be shot it tends to ride high like so. If you keep the left arm straight too long the club has to go out like this blade tends to open.
So a great little drill to get your arms to work in conjunction with your body is to feel the right arm tuck and fold feel the left arm tuck fold. What you're going to find is your arm pits are going to be glued to your body is your right arm tuck and fold as your left arm tuck and folds this will help the club shift over to your body more effectively and work in unison with the pivot of the body not you know one of the club doing its own thing. So here we go right arm tuck and fold left arm tuck and fold and that little punch shot drill really help you get the body and the club shaft work a little bit more in unison and that will help you work more in unison.
