Tom Stickney – A Top 100 Golf Teacher
Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today I want to talk to you about making sure you're on plane at belt height. What's a quick and simple checkpoint to make sure the club is in the right condition. So when you set up the golf ball people are not quite sure if they're going outside if they're going inside if they're going straight back well the check point is to make sure that you take the club back drop it straight down it's right on top of where your toes are pointing
As long as you take it back in the club directly on top of your toes you're going to be on plane. Now as you look down sometimes it might look a little inside it might look a little outside the bottom line is when it's around the checkpoint on your toes you're going to be reasonably on plane. Remember we're not looking for perfection we're looking for manageability so take the time to monitor your belt high position and I will guarantee you will get that take away under control more often than not.
