The concept of an over the top golf swing is something that we talk about an awful lot and you might have read a little bit about it as well. Though you might not really understand what we're talking about or what it means. So it refers to the swing plane as a golfer swinging the club up and around the body the club will have a plane of swing in the correct plane of swing is so the club coming back points at the camera and sits up to this position on the shaft points at the golf ball here this would be an on plane position.

An over the top swing is a club that moves more forwards more of this way over the top rather than in the plane swing on the inside path into the ball an over the top swing comes this way. Now quite often an over the top swing is the most common thing that we see is golf coaches and they will often see the club come from outside the line to inside the line. The club comes this white traveling left of the designated target for the right handed golfer so the over the top movements of the top of the swing comes across and often causes pulls and more importantly slice shots.
