Connected – Golf Lessons & Tips (Video) by Pete Styles

Connected is a word that will often hear a lot about and talk a lot about when we're looking at the world's best players. When you look at someone's golf swing and everything looks smooth everything's got good tempo good rhythm good balance. Often a word that we use to some or all of that he's connected or she's connected and often you'll see a player when they're learning to play the game and they don't look very connected.

The way I could think about this for a lot of golfers is I throw them a ball and say right throw that one out onto the driving range for me but throw it with your dominant hand. So if it's your right hand pick it up and you throw it and it will go 50 yards and it will feel quite smooth and quite effortless. There's another ball now throw it the same distance with your opposite hand your non-dominant hand your weaker side. So for me that would be my left hand and I pick it up and even now it doesn't feel the same it feels weaker it feels less balance less good timing it feels less connected.
