So if you are now in position where you are trying to analyze and trying to work on your impact position. Here are a couple of the key things that you might be able to look for that are actually causing you problems in your impact position and actually causing you problems in the shots you are trying to hit. and these are kind of the common things to look for. So if I would go and address the bowl here with my a time I got myself in a good impact position which would look something like this issues that we often see number one would be hanging back to really getting the body still behind the golf full of impact could cause you problems with fats in the bowl topping the ball pulling the ball left. So let's make sure that we're not hanging back on the rear foot and leaning back and trying to steer the ball and that's quite a big common problem with the impact position all the things that you might notice that you're doing is looking lifting up too early.
Now looking at would often identify that it's just the eyes in the head moving up that often triggers another problem which is lifting raising the spine angle through the golf ball. So from a good address position impact position should look like this it impact position is looking like this where the chest is pointing upwards and it's bringing the head up then we know we're getting into some difficulties quite often you could view your impact position from down the line to see the same issue. That's a good setup that's good impact this is poor impact you can see in my spine angle raises my hooks in my chest lifts that's going to cause problems with lack of power possibly pushing the ball to the right but predominantly swinging the club too high at the ball and stopping the ball. The issue that I often see it impact which you only see when you slow this down is to early a release fishing with the hands releasing the golf quickly and often scooping the ball up into the air. So a good address position should turn into a good impact position or a body impact position is back here. So the body could be the same but if the hands release. Too early they increase the angle coming into the ball when we what we class as a kind of a flick or a scoop again shoots thin shots high shots and short shots are going to be the problem there. So if you've really been struggling with scooping the ball up and hitting it high but no forward your makes it there and you want to hit the ball lower and further consider the it could be the problem and the early release is the thing that could be killing you. Those are some fairly common issues that you could look to analyze in your impact position and hopefully by changing your impact position you'll change your game and improve your game.
