Video Transcript: Wow that feels fantastic What a noise off the club face. My name is Pete styles PGA pro fifteen years experience here today to test the AT190 from Thomas Golf. This set of fairway woods is going to encompass every aspect of a fairway wood shot you've ever wanted to hit. That for me was a five wood it was offered these why to be fair but the sound of the club face was so pure so solid and I actually quite a few of the shots today. This club I can tell you how consistent is right across the club face I don't always hit the middle I'll be honest with you are sometimes at the time when the heel but this club feels fantastic right across the face. Now one of the benefits of these clubs I think so nice when you set that one ninety in behind the golf ball is that the patented alignment technology here on the top points exactly down towards the target line so there's actually a line on top of the face and a reinforced crown. So it's a flat a looking top to what you might have been used to when you look down on your normal fairway woods hybrid clubs but this patented line on top here that is unique to the Thomas Golf brand. When I set that up behind the ball it gives me the idea of pointing towards my target. Now as a teaching professional I know how important alignment is to most of my students and when they stand there with a with an iron or with a putter there is lines on the face that point the way home sometimes but when you look down on a fairway wood a hybrid club often quite bulbous often quite rounded in shape and alignment can be a real issue. So this patented line on top points are exactly where I want to aim and I've set up too around that I set my feet my knees my ship my shoulders all around there. Now this lie I've got here is not particularly good this ball sitting right down so I would have to dig down on this one a little bit but the eighty. One ninety has a lot of weight low and deep under the golf ball this is really going to help me drive down underneath the ball and get this ball flying nice and high. So you can see I've really taken a big chunk of ground there to get underneath that quite a big serious debate but that ball flew out really really nicely get that fantastically solid sound. Now I'm getting a really solid feeling out of these AT190 fairway woods but I don't just want to take my word for I could hit these shots all day hit them out the middle tell you how lovely the clubs are but I think to really give you the viewer the best feeling for what these clubs could do for your game let's put them in the hands of a real world golfer one of my less on clients Tom and see how he gets on with us. So we've got the AT190 eleven wood off a decent lie. Wow that was a high ball flight so I'm guessing in your bag at this distance I mean that's balls going about one eighty to one ninety would you be a normal three four and this is do you feel you really know so that three iron in your bag out of that lie is not going to have that ball flight is it. No a larger ability to get that there oh really so a three iron from there you'd be you'd be struggling with that and may be taking a more lofted club just to get it going you know to get down the fairway get out more clearly I think would be by quite nice. So a club like this I mean what we notice with the way this club is constructed is it's got this sort of reinforced crown where the alignment technology is but also lots of weight low and deep underneath the golf club nice light weight graphite shafts graphite shafts quite solid that's on really good get very good high tactile grip. Now you've got alignment markings on the grip How are you feeling about grip in those? That's great I just play again with you like a hawk obviously a really well for alignment. Like I said the weight is low and deep under the club and I think here from these sort of bad lies you can really sense how the club will drive down underneath the golf ball and. Pop it out so if you're looking for a fairway wood that hits nice high shots into a par three nice shots to dig out of the fairway or even here in the semi will really help you get underneath the ball I'm going to give you one more go because I actually pushed one of these bad boys down a little bit this one is a classic sort of off the side of fairway into the semi rough. Now if I was coaching normally I'd be saying let's just get this one back in play let's just take a seven iron and bump it back into play but have a hit the eleven wood myself I thought that the almost was lie that was bad enough you could play this thing out of nearly anything so I pretty much shot on this one really squashed it down and and Tom here's going to see if he gets on second they will dig me a good one here. There we go I mean that we definitely lower than the previous two but when you look at the quality of lie that was sitting in putting it still came out there in your back implies fully gone a hundred seventy yards in the air maybe another ten or fifteen yards running across the floor to your back imply you're back in the hole so the overall feel of eleven wood is very strong and it now previously you've hit the five wood in the seven wood in the test that we did before similar feelings through those club as well also like definitely things I would consider primarily by going taken some of them longer hold outs. Fantastic Tom I'm going to thank you for your time. So I think Tom's experience of hitting the AT190 is going to be similar to a lot of average club golfers in that they struggle with their long irons maybe struggling with the hybrid clubs but getting a nice highly lofted fairway wood in their bike would be a great benefit we've got the alignment technology on the head we've got the alignment technology on the grip really good quality solid and stable graphite shafts keeps the club nice and light encourages plenty of club head speed for those got was that struggle to generate a lot of club head speed. Now also the set of woods here and just check this out this set of woods goes from three wood which is a pretty classic sort of. I would right the way through the eleven wood that we tried out today right the way through to a twenty five wood know that's pretty much a sand wedge replacement. So if you've ever looked down an iron unsurely your confidence has disappeared because you'd be more confident swinging a hybrid or a fairway wood looking club this set of Thomas Golf AT190 fairway woods goes right the way through from three to twenty five wood as always the amazing Thomas Colt online fitting process is available for your help so you can get the right like the shaft the right grip thickness the right lost and the right head these eyes on the club to make sure that you get the perfect fairway wood to improve your game.
