Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today I want to talk to show you have something in the overhead view that helps people understand how the club works. You can see that I mark the golf ball right here and I draw a couple of dots to see how the club shaft moves you can see that the motion of the club shaft is more of a rotation through the golf ball half moon if you will on the way through. So we can see the club comes down from the inside squares up then works back to the inside half moon the type of feeling. Now in order to leave in order for me to view this type of motion with my club as you can see right here this kind of rotation on the inside is going to me it feels like I've thrown the club into right field. So the feeling is trying to direct the club grossly from in to out in order for me to make this particular motion coming down we don't want to do that the divots want to be down the line but the ball is in the start off into right field.

So even though your feel is right field type of motion where you are directing the thrust this way. So when you hit golf balls you want to make sure that your divots follow this particular pattern right here and that's what we're looking for in this half moon type of delivery. If you start to deliver the club cross this way you have to be issues if you start to live in the club cross line this way you're going to have a lot of issues. So remember as we work the club shaft the club works from inside down the line to inside back as you can see right here. So remember take the time to understand this half moon concept as the club comes through and I'll promise you'll have a lot more success with control of the golf ball if you thought you know I think I was more inside in order to make those divots go down the line.
