That when you're looking at a golf ball you pick the correct side of the tee box. All too often people park the car here though the tee in the ground right here when I'm off they go well that's fine and dandy if the holes pretty straight but here you can see we've got some trouble on the right and it's very easy here on 12 for us to hit the ball into the hazard over here. So if we tee up on this out of the tee box we're going to a more down the center to the left center of the fairway and that's going to give us a certain type of view if we line up over here on the left side of the tee box it puts the center to the right side of the fairway into view.

So what you have to figure out is based on your shot shape what side of the tee box gives you the best opportunity to miss the trouble that you're trying to avoid. Here I fade the ball move the ball left or right so that hazard over there on the right side tends to creep in there for me so for me it's going to be a lot better for me to tee up right here on the side of trouble and aim down the left of the fairway and when I make that move now I can cut the ball towards the middle of the fairway. As opposed to over here I'm aiming down the right side of the fairway and I've overcut it I'm going to hit it in the hazard. So remember you have to have consistency in your game by using the tee box to your advantage you have the side of tee box and the two clubs on either side remember use the tee box in its entirety to make the hole look a little bit better for you and if you'll do that you'll have some consistency.
