So you want to become a better player with your mid irons will really think what are these irons are intended for hitting to the greens. So you're trying to get it closer to the flag. So to do that you want your distance control to be consistent. It's no use hitting your 7 iron 170 on one shot 150 on the next and 180 on the other that way you're not consistent and we're not really interested how far you hit a 7 iron. I'm more interested in how close how often do you hit that made iron to the flag, and if you're going to do that you've got to manage a couple of key things. One is the tempo of your swing. Can you make a golf swing where you're swinging a similar pace each time? So with replicating your rhythm and tempo that's going to help you hit it consistent distances not use it in one really hard and then one really soft you trying to get some level of consistency with it.
Then the next thing if you watched all players on T.V. yes you'll see them smash it with the driver they're trying to get it out there as far as they can, but what you'll notice with the mid irons they're a bit more compact with their back swing and when they swing through and hold their finish. You'll see there are a lot more balanced. If you look at someone like the European player Tommy Fleetwood a great iron player a lot of his shots is just hitting 3 quarters and of cuts off finish, but that gives him the routine consistency to reach European number one and be a leading player. Cause he's repeating the same thing every time he's not doing something differently. So I would hit 2 or 3 shots for you here and just study the length of the swing the pace of the swing and how I finish balanced in each case. So mid iron there is number one again just watch the finish watch the tempo. Number two, and number three, and if you want to slow that video down and look at the finish and the back swing you'll almost see they're identical every time. That's going to give me more identical results more consistency hitting it nearer that flag.
