Topping the golf ball is doubt one of the most frustrating things a golfer can do. They spend all their time getting set up to the ball really nicely and get themselves into a good impact position, big back swing loads of energy coming down, and the ball just tops forwards 20 feet, and can be quite embarrassing. It can actually put you in quite a lot of danger as well it could go in a bunker or in a house a little something like that. So here's a couple of drills that I think you could help you help to work on to improve the top shots that you're having in your game. Most of the talk shows so called by some version of rising up during the swing. Now for a lot of people that clarified just down to the fact you lifted your head but quite often the head isn't moving independently there's lots of other things that are happening that causing the problem one of the 1st thing that could be happening is you could just be swinging over the top. So you bring in the club here and then taking the club that way it comes over the top of the club and comes down with it too steeply on the ball. A lot of the bottom out to be lower the ball is actually coming down so steep that you hit the top of the ball on your way to then hitting the floor afterwards and that would be classed as an over the top shot that's creating the top.

So we need to try and get the club to come down a little bit more from the inside of it flatter. Well there are areas that could cause the top shot would be rising that raising the spine angle setting up to the golf ball here I have my spine angle set but if as I hit the golf ball my hips took. My spine angle stands up you can see how the club now lifts off the floor and even if I try and get my hands to reach down to the floor that's not going to happen. So here's a good set up if I keep my spine angle the same I should come back down and hit the ground if my spine angle rises as I stand up I'm going to struggle to get down low enough and as I stand up like this you got to see my head lifting up as well. So holding the head down as I stay down and make a swing is a good way of making sure I make good impact you might even get a coach or a playing partner just to sort of reach forwards in the hold your head steady just to give you the feeling of what could be happening. If you had these rising up through the ball good exercise for spine angle ease here point the club at the golf ball point the club head at the goal will see you see my spine it will stay down if I stand up and stand up by spying else too high the club shaft a point horizontally rather than down at the goal to pull down at the go. Go ahead and work on those drills in the next few exercises in the next few videos as well that should help improve your top shots.
