As we start to look for corrections and fixes as to how we can stop topping the ball particularly with the irons there are a number of different issues to look at. It is not a one quick fix idea there could be three or four different reasons why you might be topping the ball. Until you can sort of take all these off the list you need to identify each one and work out if that's the reason why you might be topping it the simple case of you've lifted your head is probably not a play couple for a lot of golf is even though you may might tell you that's the reason it's not always the case. So setting up to the golf ball can be quite important we need to make sure that we set up with enough knee flex and also enough spine angle flex therefore stunning to the ball straight leg straight up like this we're pretty much destined to fail already because is going to be very difficult to get lower than the ball hit. So we need to be further back bits of knee flex tilt forwards.

Now we can make a good set up an impact position as well to not top the ball maintaining that knee flex is also important if I start off with slightly soft knees but then I hit the ball with straight knees and guess what I'm probably not going to get a good contact on the ball I'm probably going to top it up will. So nice a little slice in the need and maintain the flights for impact is going to be quite important on spine angle is important as well I've set that spine angle some leaning forward at the set position I want to make sure that I maintain the spine angle for impact so low my body is rotated slightly as I hit the goal ball it's not straightening up. So maintaining the flex maintaining spine angle maintaining head position and setting up in a good position or role really good key elements for making sure you impact the ball correctly the last one to focus on is on position if we start off with straight sets up we need to impact the ball with straight sets up clearly bad. He's lifting the club into the sky. So we kind of see this classic chicken wing position where from the back on we see the arms pulling out like this makes chicken wing angle. So we need to make sure his hands and arms are straight down for impact no checking winging and hopefully working on those key elements will help improve your goal top shots particularly with your irons.
