Tom Stickney – A Top 100 Golf Teacher
Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today I want to talk to you about hanging back. A lot of times people get to the top of their weight on their back foot causing the club to bottom out too early. Causing hit fat thin shots and they get a loss of power hanging back it's a very very problematic thing and that's because you don't allow your weight to move forward.
So a great drill to stop you from hanging back just to the baseball drill put your feet together take the top step swing. Feet together take the top step swing what you get a following is that little lateral motion helps you to really move your weight into your forward foot. It's the same motions of baseball that you they take the ball back you're stepping forward long before the ball comes forward your hand comes forward. So remember if you're hanging back it's going to rob you of a lot of issues and you could have a lot of trouble with just his power accuracy consistency so really remember that the weight has to flow forward of the golf so if you'll do that you're not going to go back to often.
