Hybrid golf clubs really are versatile and you can play a variety of shots with them and the other advantage you’ve got with hybrid is not only its versatility but they are so, so forgiving as well. So even if you don’t quite center the strike you still see a really great golf shot with maximum distance and really high rate of accuracy as well. So let’s talk of the versatility that the hybrids will provide you with, you can chip with them around the green, you can play them at the rough, you can play them low under the trees or over hanging branches and you can hit full shots with them. So really you could do everything with the hybrid club, it doesn’t matter what situation you’re in, a hybrid will give you an option to get out of that situation. And then looking at the forgiveness to the hybrid club. Well basically the hybrid is only the length of an iron, so you have much more control with that shorter shaft. But on the end of the shorter shaft we’ve also got much larger club head, and the larger club head means it’s got a much bigger sweet spot and the sweet spot is really where you looking to hit the ball from, it’s the center of the golf club.
The sweet spot is normally only the size of the small coin, so the larger the, the club head becomes, the larger the coin is, for where the sweet spot is and the bigger area you got to hit the ball from, the more chance of you actually connecting and getting the golf ball out of that area becomes. So this larger sweet spot you are going to get maximum distance, you are going to get maximum accuracy because you’re going to catch that sweet spot. But also because of this larger club head the center gravity is much lower in this club. So it makes it a lot, lot easier for you to get the ball up into the air, the lower the centre gravity becomes, the higher the launch angle will be that you will hit the ball up, really sending the ball up into the air, it’s flying high the maximum distance and it’s landing very softly.
And furthermore this bigger club head allows the centre gravity to move away from the face of the club and towards the back of the club. And when that happens the club is able to resist any twisting effect from off centre hits. So instead of hitting from the toe, the club getting slowed down and this area and then the hill accelerating past and open in the face an off centre hit, the club here will resist that twisting effect and will stay square to the target, so you will hit much more accurately. So not only these hybrid golf clubs versatile that you can hit from around the green really close, you can hit from under trees, you can hit full shots in, but you have got this maximum forgiveness in them as well. So consider putting them into your golf bag especially if there are certain clubs you really struggle to hit well, take those out and replace them with the same loft but in a hybrid version of them. And if you have a look at Thomas Golf website, you’ll find that they’ve got a variety of lofts, all the way through the bag, so no matter what club you look into replace in your bag that you’re struggling with, Thomas Golf will have a solution.
