We are going to look at how to help you hit the golf ball much straighter during your golf swing with this video tip. This will help you if you’re seeing that your ball flight is going to the left. So on address set-up as you normally would, and then start to swing your club away on the takeaway. And what you want to work on doing is that waist high you have allowed the toe of the club head so that would be this area of the club head is the toe, you have allowed that to point upwards at the sky so the toe is pointing up towards the sky and it’s rotated the club face allowing you to then swing the club back down to the ball and present the club face in a much squarer manner. If you take the club back and you keep the club face pointing at the ground in this kind of position, the club is now actually now closed. The club face is now turned left compared to its start position. So if I just reverse my position back down you can see exactly what’s going to happen to that golf shot.

The club head is really turned to the left and the ball is just going to go over to the left. So if you are struggling with shots that swing to the left, work on during your takeaway allow the toe of the club head to turn upwards to the sky. This is the correct position to have the club head in, waist high and it’s the correct position for the club face.

This position the club face is now closed and as you return back down to the ball, that’s going to hit the ball left. So to hit straighter shots, work on turning the club off your toe – the toe of your club up to the sky during your takeaway.
