Thin shot in golf is the opposite of a fat shot in golf. A fat shot is where the club comes down takes too much ground before it hits the ball. A thin shot is where we hit too high up on the golf ball catching the top portion of the ball that's what we call thin. Pretty much anything above ball at the equator of the golf ball is going to be classed as thin and topped.
So the bottom half of the ball is Ok too much ground these fat anything that comes up to the equator and certainly of both the equator is going to be thin. Now generally thin probably relates to your irons your wedgies in your chip shots more than anything else you know when you're playing a drive you might catch it a bit above the ball but generally speaking because the ball is on the big thin you got a great big club had your driver you won't catch too thin. Like wise putting you'll generally get out Ok but all of your ieons in your wedges are prone to the thin shots and I think it's often classed as the beginners you know a high handicap beginning golfer will often thin the golf ball because of poor technique.
