As we set up to the golf ball particularly with the bigger clubs in our bag. We have really got to make sure that in order to hit these balls straight we really need to have everything nice and set up square at the address position, and square to our intended target. It's my target I've got a couple of flags out here on the on the short green in front of me they're mine tended target straight through the middle of them. So I've got the club face points in the right direction feet hopefully pointing in the right direction but quite importantly I want to get my shoulders square to my intended target quite often people on direct underestimate how important the shoulders are to spend time line in the feet up and then the shoulders get very open very close. That's a position that's going to cause some quite serious issues during your swing as you don't swing the club on the intended line because your shoulders are dominating that. So the shoulders need to be really square to the feet to the intended target as you'll setting up particularly more so with the bigger clubs and with you why do you might stand a little bit open that with the big clubs trying get everything nice and square. Now during the swing the shoulders going to remain in the square position. So everything is pointing down the target here but the shoulders are going to close down a lot we're going to rotate a lot this way to the shoulders of pointing down towards the goal.

Now and during the downswing they're going to start to open up coming back through square position and keep turning through. Now at the point of impact I feel that the shoulders are open to where they started I don't feel the shoulders come back to their exact position the shoulders are actually going to open up because it's going to be a great way of generating quite a lot of power but there is a sort of a caveat here. That you could open your shoulders to wide to far open and it would be classed as spinning out of the ball. So from a good address position with square shoulders if you were to get to the top and open up too quickly your shoulders be. Open this why the club face is probably open the all the way and you've spun out of the ball rate in some pretty big slices but also if you hide your shoulders too closed at impact you could find that your locking power your lacking any real rotation through the ball. So again setting up close the shoulders here if we don't open the shoulder the toll in the downswing the only thing that can really hit this ball. Now with the hands in the hands it's going to flick over we're going to hit some pretty low fast shots. So not tightening the shoulders enough is going to be a big problem as we head through the bull we want to get those shoulders back to their original square position let them keep turning through ready for impact and up to a nice big finish. So square the shoulders off they at the start position address position make sure the shoulders are rotating all the way through not to open not too close to the point of impact and if you can get those shoulders square should improve the shoulder rotation and improve your golf.
