If you come from a point where your arms are moving up and away from the body and the club is moving up and away from the body, to a point where you are a lot more connected and using the rotation of the body, much, much more. This is a change in your swing technique which is unlike some others, can actually build your confidence very, very quickly.
If for example you make a change within your grip. The chances of you getting used to that change especially if it is a big one, within a few weeks, are quite low. And after that few weeks period you could be quite despondent with how it’s going because the club face position has changed so much, the swing is having to change around that new club face position and it’s very hard to find target.
However with this change, with the arms becoming more connected, using more body rotations as you move through the ball, your confidence and your freedom with this, should grow exponentially. This is because you are starting to use the bigger muscles within the body. Bigger muscles provide more power, but they also provide more stability. And with more stability you are able to build confidence. And once you reach that level of high confidence, then that way, that is where the freedom of your game will start to just flower that little bit more. It is very, very hard when you are in a position of lifting reconnected and hitting to turn through freely.
Once those body rotation start to take effect and you start to strike it cleanly, the distance will improve and therefore confidence will improve and like I said, the freedom with which you play the game, will also improve as well. So if this is something you are doing please use these tips, please try and implement into your game, and see how you get them.
