We want to talk about here is the actual markings that you can actually see on the club face with reference to the sole of the club and also the face of the golf club. Quite often in the golf course, how many times have you actually come into the ball, you've hit, you've hit the ball and you’ve felt the club kind of twist a little bit to the right-hand side? Well if that’s happening, the chances are that that ball has actually missed the center which is what we call the ball sweet spot very, very tiny little area. Has hit the toe with the golf club, as it hits the toe it will do a little bit of twisting. So as it twists, you can just imagine that ball is going to start to impasse on spin on. That tends to come from a swing inch, which is basically finding its way from the outside to the inside as that club gets pulled away from the ball. You can understand why that ball is going to come off the toe, because it's being pulled away. And then can just imagine the opposite of the ball comes back the heel of the gold club, it will tend to turn the club face over. And a good indication there would be that the club will be travelling too much from the inside coming from this direction, when you hit the ball and then turn the club face over.

So from the club face you can actually learn a lot, but you might think well if I can't rely on the feel of it what else can I do? Well maybe put a bit of tape on the clubface what we call ghost tape that will give you an imprint of the dimples of the actual club face where the ball is stroked, whether it's at the toe or the middle or the heel. And that will give you a good indication or even some talcum powder on the golf post, will actually produce some markings on the club face, you could use any of those sort of aids. On the bottom of the club face ideally we have the mark to be in the center, which will just mean that the clubface will come back square to the ball, square to the ground and hopefully all of the golf shot. But again if the markings are on the actual toe here, they will suggest obviously that the most obvious factor that the club has actually come down has actually come down. And for the club to come down is normally because the club is being thrown on the outside, so the swing part coming down is from the outside to the end, the club is being thrown down, the club face comes down, the toe hits the ground its squeeze the club face and vice versa for the draw, so just reverse around this is the right hand of the golfers obviously. So now you collect to the back of your mind at what you can actually learn from the actual face off the heel, a good exercise for you would be to out two Tee pattern here or two balls, set yourself up in between. And then from here, just concentrate on swinging and first off all without the ball just concentrate and actually swing the club back and actually through the tip to the gate post here. Use Tee peg, golf post whatever you feel comfortable with. And of course if you do swing the club; from the outside coming down, you are allowed to catch the outside ball or the outside Tee peg vice versa. So a very good exercise will have to get your confidence up for this. Again if you've been hitting the ball of the toe or slashing the ball for a period of time, don’t expect this to happen within a week or whatever, you've got to practice at it, put a little bit a practice, put the time into it and you will get the results.
