Okay, so I am going to teach you what is a pull slice, you even might just be looking a little bit quizzical, sort of at the screen that you are looking at now, thinking pull slice are two different things there. But a pull slice is actually one shot which basically changes its path. It’s where you set up and you swing the club outside the line and then you come inside the line with the club face, square to that target line. So the clubface would be aiming here, so the ball is now starting its journey to the left hand side. So you have pulled the ball, but as your club comes across that shot there, it starts to now put some side spin on the ball.

So you have got a pull slice and it's simply is that, a quite a lot of slices start as a pull because the journey starts to the left hand side and then it winds it way to the right hand side. It's all down to really the degree of angle, that the clubface is at impact, whether it's a little bit more closer than a normal shot. But a pull starts this way, travels across the line and then from there turns into a slice. Now what causes it is the swing, swinging it out to in, so first of all we have got to tackle that swing. So what I have done here, I have put a basket situated which is just outside my target line, which is where I'm going to hit the ball. So if I was to try and create that same swing, you can just imagine I am going to hit that basket there. So by putting the basket here, that’s going to encourage me now to bring that club on the inside. So it’s now bringing me on a different track altogether. You can see here the hips and shoulders have turned, the weight has transferred, more importantly we have not gone outside the line. So from the inside, the first thing that we cannot do, we can't possibly from the inside, pull the ball, it's impossible, you cannot pull from the inside. You have to come from the outside to the inside, so having got here now, we concentrate on hitting through the golf shot. Now let's just say, when you play this golf shot, that you play and you find yourself, still it’s just got a bit of a tail and the pull is gone, that's gone, but we still have got a bit of a tail on it. Put another basket on this side, exactly the same sort of location, so that will encourage you to come away from one basket and away from the other basket. And as simple as that, that's pull slice is completely gone and even if you have got a little bit of slice, this will actually prevent that. So remember the problem was swinging it outside the line and coming across with that clubface aiming on that target line and as we hit across it, that imparts the spin. So all you need to do, go away and practice this, it's a very, very simple exercise. If you just change the path of your swing, you have to change the direction that, that ball takes on this journey, as simple as that. Put it into practice and if you struggle, go and see your PGA Pro, he will be happy to help you even more.
